SURFYOGIS was founded in 2007 on the island of Bali, Indonesia.
It all began when a surfer, wanting to protect his skin from the intense tropical sun, made his own sunscreen using only natural ingredients.
Founder Charlie, a surfer, yogi, and chocolate maker, has created a 100% natural sunscreen using readily available natural ingredients such as coconut oil, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, beeswax, castor oil, and zinc oxide.
The product spread by word of mouth among friends, gaining support for its high water resistance and long-lasting sun protection, and eventually growing into the SURFYOGIS brand.
Even today, just as when the company was founded, each item is carefully handcrafted in small batches and delivered to surfers and ocean lovers around the world.
